Grechko, General Andrey
1903–1976
   Grechko served his apprenticeship for high command during World War II. He was given command of various Armies who were fighting to defend the Transcaucasus and was eventually made Deputy Commander of the 1st Ukrainian Front. He commanded the Armies that liberated Kiev and then Lvov and finally took part in the liberation of Czechoslovakia.
